Ernst David Lester

Bonus vir semper tiro. - A good person always remains a beginner.

Conductor

As a conductor it is extremely important to me to find different nuances inside an orchestra and to transmit these to the audience - as the only possibility of practising music in its most natural way.

Violinist

As a violinist I got the opportunity to play in the most famous orchestras in Vienna and was able to generate a comprehensive image of the famous string-culture and the unique sound.

The "Cafe Violinist"

During the Strauss-Era the so called "cafe violinist" became very popular for the viennese music and - on this occasion the cafe violinist also adopted important parts & skills of a conductor.

Conducting Symphonic Pieces

What if Mozart had probably known - Beethoven? How would this probably have had an effect on music as we know it? Mozart passed in 1791 - Beethoven was born in 1770 - two of the greatest composers regarding classical music literature - so close and still so far!

The 4 Viennese

This ensemble represents the traditional way of Viennese Music - from Vienna Waltz right through to the "original" Viennese Song. But also different genres of "easy listening" music provide this group a broad range.

Jazz - Violin

I always had a very big interest in Jazz Music - the attempt - to integrate an improvisation into a given harmony - solely dependent on yourself - a fascinating manner of expressing music in a very different way - free of any rules.
